What Wegan Did Next: 03/07/10-19/07/10

Hello, hello, hellooooo!!!!

Photobucket

It's Wegan here- yes ACTUALLY Whitney & Megan doing a blog post together!! Say hello Whitney... "hello!" (says Whitney). Oh aren't we amusing! (Whitney yells "let me type!!!" OK I'm handing the controls over....)

Sorry that our posts are so random and belated! We promise to do better (Megan intercepts here & adds that at least we do a fortnightly updates! Whit then asks what fortnightly means, so we have a debate/discussion over it, Megan gets confused but ultimately stands correct- fortnightly does indeed mean 2 weeks :p ah you learn something new every day).

What Wegan Did Next:

So, over the past 2 weeks and 2 days to be exact we have actually not been up to much at all, apart from our fantabulous holiday to Cornwall! :) It was the first time I (Whitney) was included in the Evans annual holiday! Awww! We were there for one week and by golly did it fly by. We found ourselves eating loads, in FACT I had my first Cornish pasty and it was Scrumdidliumptious with a capital S! Oh I'm not finished yet, Cornish ice cream with clotted cream and of course cream tea (scones with jam, cream and tea!) Needless to say, it was also scrumptious!

(Megan takss over) As Whit has said we didn't do much, but it was great to have a week to chillax with the family & Whit :) The flat we were staying in is opposite the beach and has a fantastic view of St. Michael's Mount, which can only be walked to when the tide is down (pretty cool huh!)

My family threw Whit an American meal to make her feel at home on Independence Day (aw) which of course is a pretty funny day to celebrate with us Brits :p

We had a nice day out with the parents (sisters stayed at home) & visited Cape Cornwall where we watched for seals, & two kept popping up to say hello! One of our best days was a trip to the beach town of Newquay, which has a big surfer vibe and is basically the British Hawaii! haha. We were even blessed by sun once we were on the beach itself.

Alas, the week soon came to an end and we made the train back home by literally seconds of it leaving! AHH! This is a Wegan trait lol- we've had to run for the eurostar from Paris twice. Oh dear!

Since getting back from Cornwall I had to go straight back to work (boo). Though we had a lovely (hilarous & drunnkkkk) night out at my best friends medics ball (which she organised). We were the token lesbian couple but had a great night- medics sure did live up to their drunken hype! Ha ;)

That's about it for now, we've had a couple days off just getting the flat sorted & watching films. We're off to visit Caerphilly Castle & see Eclipse tonight (*fingers crossed it doesn't rain!!*). So many good films out at the moment! (Inception... Toy Story 3! ha! Let me know if you've seen any & what you think!)...

Oh I'm going to make a video blog one day soon so keep your eyes peeled for that!

  2. Thanks my dear! Well, I have no idea if this is actually what you Americans would actually meet haha but the most American meal they could come up with was burgers & chips, oh & spare ribs! Ha! Was yummy anyways. Clotted cream is amazing but deadly, heres all about it:
