As you most likely already know, we love DIVA magazine (Europe's largest LGBT magazine) and loved our front cover photoshoot with Luclyn back in 2014. DIVA recently have new ownership and are lesbian-owned for the first time by Twin Group Media (Linda Riley and Silke Bader, who also own Curve - America's lesbian mag).

To celebrate, DIVA held a re-launch party at the prestigious and decadent location of The Ivy just over a week ago. We were delighted to attend and show our support for such a wonderful magazine that Megan grew up with, and that we both now hold dear to our hearts (as well as the people that work for it, having had the pleasure to get to know them over the last couple of years).

We quickly glammed up after a day of work, hopped in a car and made our way to London....

DIVA also has new columnists, 'the Fab Five', consisting of the lovely Christian singer and broadcaster Vicky Beeching, the fab UK Black Pride director Lady Phyll Poku-Gymiahm, singer Heather Peace, BBC news reader Jane Hill and actress Sophie Ward.

It was a star studded event (we arrived just as Gok Wan was being papped and ended up behind him in a hilarious unflattering photo which we will not re-post, but have a good laugh if you find it!) and such a welcoming, fun atmosphere. It was great to see a lesbian event get such a good turn out, from both the lesbian and gay male community and straight allies.

The event opened up with an intro by actor Charlie Condou, and passionate speeches by Linda Riley, and Editor Jane Czyzselska.

Then the mingling and wine drinking commenced (alas, we missed the champagne!... I know, I know...) We'll give you a little run through...

We caught up with Vicky Beeching, and discussed 'Wegan-ifying' her new flat... and admired her brogues of course...

We met the wonderful Sinitta, who's best friends (pictured) have been together for TWENTY years! Such a lovely couple and we wish them a life time of happiness.

As if by magic, Whitney's love of food, the Food Network, was brought to life at the Diva event with the arrival of Jonathan Phang.. and then we ended up being interviewed by him! Such a lovely man!

We met Love Island's Katie Salmon, and her equally lovely brother Dean. We had a great chat with Katie about female empowerment and femme visibility... and how she's found herself to be dating more women than men lately ;)

.. Also, how hot did Whitney look? ;)

We also had great chats with many fab gay men, including gay rights activist Peter Tachtell, 'Doctor Christian' and his partner. We also met the lovely Fernando (works at DIVA and remembered working on our faces!) and his husband (such an adorable couple), as well as great business men. And we admired shoes. As you do.

All in all it was such a fun night that flew by, we were sad that it was over but excited for the future of DIVA!
