Wegan's Winter Round Up 2014!

Well this year has certainly been crazy busy, and this winter has been no exception! With not much time for us to blog, here's quick round up.

Thanksgiving Celebrations

At the end of November we hosted our second Thanksgiving at Wegan Manor with Megan's family, which was a great success. We made more dishes this year, including our own orange cranberry sauce, and many of you wanted recipes. We will try post them at some point, we've just sadly run out of time! We still can't get our pumpkin pie to taste that great, but Lauren is always on hand with the best Key Lime Pie.

Christmas Festivities!

Christmas is approaching but for the first time ever we will be celebrating it in America instead of the UK with Megan's family! We decorated Wegan Manor earlier this month and Kisses got super excited when she saw the tree and lights come out.

We had a lovely festive day out in London to do a bit of Christmas shopping. I surprised Whitney with a little trip to the skating rink at Somerset House. It's hosted by Fortnum and Mason and as soon as I saw it featured on The Londoner, I knew we'd have to go. It was a great festive atmosphere and whilst we did not go skating ourselves, Whitney loved that I took her there. Next I took her for a surprise dinner at The Savoy Hotel.

We're flying out America tomorrow, on 23rd December, and we're looking forward to spending it with Whitney's family in the South! As we're not going to be spending it with Megan's family, we had a little gathering last night on Sunday which was lovely.

It's going to be strange for all of us to not be together but with marriage there's compromise, and it's about time that I spent it with the wife's family, and get to see how the Americans do it!

New Beginnings:

We're struggling more and more to get videos up weekly and blog posts up as often as we'd like with our work schedules increasing. It's paid off however as I recently received a promotion at work to HR Advisor and Whitney very recently received a new job offer as Account Manager! Whitney is super excited to start her role in the new year and I'm so proud of her! I'm slightly sad that it's end of an era as we knew it as our routine of traveling to work and back home together is over. I'll have to get used to sitting in silence and asking myself what to do for dinner that night!

We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
