Looking for the most instagrammable spots in LA? Well we have you covered! West Hollywood is the best place to head to, and in particular there are so many down one road (Melrose Avenue) within walking distance. We've also included at the end: how to get there, where to eat and where to stay in West Hollywood.
We hopped in an uber from our hotel to explore, which only took 5 minute or you can walk there is just over 20 minutes. We visited these in this order but completely up to you how you do it, and if you want to start or end with coffee!
1. Carrera Cafe
We kept seeing Carrera Cafe all over our instagram feed and knew we had to head here for a cute coffee shot. At Carrera Cafe you can have any design you want printed on top of your coffee. Yup that's right! They have set designs or you can literally upload any picture (via an app). So you can drink a coffee with your face and bae's on top if that's what you want! We opted for LA and Louis Vuitton pattern.
Address: Cafe Carerra, 8251 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90046, USA
2. Next to Carrera Cafe
This wall on the side Carrera Cafe (opposite Paul Smith) changes constantly, so we just missed the Hello design and instead we had a Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Unfortunately not very on brand for our insta feed but cool nonetheless!
Address: 8251 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90046, USA
3. Paul Smith Pink Wall
A big pink wall! What isn't to love?! Paul Smith also painted it rainbow for Pride. Unfortunately the security guard will let you know that no camera's are allowed... only phones. So luckily we managed to find someone to take our pics and we took theirs!
Address: Paul Smith, 8221 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, USA
4. Love Quote
We stumbled across this sweet quote on the way to the 'Made in LA' sign, so naturally had to stop by for a quick photo. By Trusty Scribe.
Address: Located opposite Cisco home, 8025 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, USA
5. Made in LA
Located on the side of
Cisco Home is this simple 'Made in LA' sign, that's pretty much a must or a photo. Though as it's so big, you may need to get inventive to get in the shot.
Address: 8025 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, USA
6. Rainbow wall
Address: The Princess Paper Bag, 8050 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, USA
7. Girls Tour
Girls Tour! A perfect mural for the beginning of our 3 week trip around Cali and Hawaii.
A pale pink wall that says, 'Girls Tour,' yes please! We were with each other and traveling so it was so fitting. However, if you're with your squad and want a gorgeous instagrammable pic, then this is literally ideal! It also looks gorgeous on the gram.
Address: 708 N Orange Grove Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, USA
HOW TO GET THERE:
We headed from London Gatwick to LA with Norwegian Airlines, as they offer a direct flight on one of their brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliners- which are faster, greener and help reduce jet lag. Norwegian have two cabins, economy and premium. We had the pleasure of flying in their Premium class, which gives you 2 x 20kg checked bags and it also comes with lounge passes.
It was honestly a great experience and we had a fantastic flight for many reasons, such as the smart mood-lighting, the windows being 65% bigger and the seats also recline with extra leg room so you can have a rest or get extra comfy to watch your movie.
Also, we absolutely love that you can just order drinks right to your seat with their interactive touch screen entertainment system. The staff were also incredibly friendly and accommodating. Shoutout to Rachel and Susanna for being so lovely! Bonus points fo the cabin pressure helping with jet lag. Extra bonus points for letting us on early to take photo's, love working with brands that truly understand influencers.
WHERE TO STAY:
We stayed a couple nights at the chic Chamberlain Hotel, that is located near the Sunset strip has a fab rooftop pool and view of LA. It recently had a multi million dollar renovation and we loved their stylish decor. It also has a trendy bar/ restaurant on site with a hideaway feel, just for those staying there. (You're also in walking distance to The ShakeShack, which you may want to find if you're tired and jet lagged like us, ha).
Address: 1000 Westmount Dr, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA
WHERE TO EAT:
Carrera Cafe
Ok so we've already mentioned Carrera Cafe for the insta shot, but it has also great lots of great options for food, from tasty salads to a fruity pebble donut.
Address: Cafe Carerra, 8251 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90046
The Butcher, The Baker and The Cappuccino Maker
We visited
The Butcher, The Baker and The Cappuccino Maker on our first visit to LA and had to head back, as it would be rude not to. We personally think it's the best place to brunch in West Hollywood. Their eggs Benedict is on a grilled Southern biscuits is to die for, and Megan finally got to eat their banana foster french bread. To top it all off, we ordered one of their instafamous colorburst lattes, and it did not disappoint!
Address: 8653 West Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069
Norah
We absolutely loved Norah and a big thanks to the lovely girls from Visit West Hollywood for taking us here. The decor was fabulous, the staff were so friendly and the food and drinks were DIVINE. You have to try their cast iron corn bread with rosemary butter and their freshly made ricotta!
Address: 8279 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046, USA
Hamburger Mary's
Hamburger Mary's is an LGBT friendly bar, located opposite Norah's. We haven't had the pleasure of eating or drinking here, but we did pop in when they were having a drag queen bingo night and it looked so fun!
Sky Bar at The Mondrian Hotel
We actually stayed at
The Mondrian Hotel last year and loved this hotel. In particular we loved
Sky Bar, it's ultra stylish bar showing incredible views of LA. It's the perfect place for cocktails with a view, day and night. Despite looking like it's a roof top, it's actually on the ground floor. We decided to pop back to take in the views and reminisce being here last year just before we got married in Palm Springs.
