Well seeing as there's just over a week until I'm back in South Carolina (EEEEEEE!!!), it was about time that we let you know what we got up to.
What Wegan Did Next: South Carolina!
What Wegan Did Next: South Carolina!
I can't believe it's actually soon to be a month since I left, and that we last saw each other- SAY WHAT?! Despite visiting Hawaii five times, this was the first time properly to the mainland for me! (Connections in states, and stepping outside the L.A airport just really doesn't count haha).
We landed in North Carolina, which meant we had a 2 hour drive to South Carolina. So before our journey we stopped at Cracker Barrel, which was of course my first time.
I absolutely loved the Southern theme with the rocking chairs out front and even more loved the food! (I had French Toast with maple syrup and scrambled eggs with cheese.. I'm vegetarian you see!) I'm craving it so bad I can't wait to go back.
Of course I was also introduced to sweet tea for the first time and loved that too!
When we arrived in SC we were finally greeted by Whitney's Ipad 2! WOO!
I finally got to meet Whit's best friend Sarah... erm, yeah she's on the right. We kinda look like twins! AH! hehe.
We had just under 2 weeks in SC and we mainly took advantage of just spending the days around where she lives. I think the next few pics demonstrate why I ended up gaining a few more pounds...
(Garlic biscuits from Ruby Tuesdays- YUM!)
Whitney's father came to visit (and I met him for the first time ah!) Here is me with his truck hehe!
One eve we traveled down to Myrtle Beach to go for dinner and we ended up going to a seafood buffet.
I love the fact that even their shopping malls have rocking chairs!
A brewery had chairs in the shapes of barrels!
& I really like their license plates. Ah the South :)
As we posted about before, we went to Myrtle Beach for Whitney's bday, and we came across a bit of Hawaii <3
Before we knew it, it was time for me to head back alone... noooo :(
Goodbye Charlotte!
Hello Sky
Hello New York!!!
I had to transfer from one airport to another in NY so Whitney's old school friend Lacey (from Lacey in the City check it out!!) VERY kindly came to pick me up. It was great to finally meet her and I of course appreciated not having to get myself between airports by myself. Originally we of course thought Whit would be with us so it was a shame they didn't get to meet up... but hopefully they will soon! (Also shout out to Lacey's mum who apparently reads our blog woo!)
Ello London...Then for the first time since March, without my fiance in hand as we had hoped, I landed in London and was greeted by my darling Mothership. She shed some tears and she hoped I was surprising her with Whitney. Aw we wish!!
Just re-capturing these days are making me miss my girl and America so much... though no need to get too sad as only 8 days!!!
