Working It Out With Wegan + Motivate Me Monday





In the first proper post of Working It Out With Wegan we are linking up with Ashley at Me and My Boys:

And the challenge that was set was about favourite parts to work out links up perfectly with what we wanted our first post to be about anyways! Meant to be?

When I was younger I used to be a runner. And I've gone years without running. I've been trying to get back into over the past year or so, but this last month at Whitney's has been the best opportunity for me. Just a few minutes walk away is a little gym where Whitney lives, And when I say little- I mean little!! lol. However, I super love the treadmill and crosstrainer there. I've managed to up my motivation and stamina. I'm one of those people that set themselves a goal and actually cannot stop until I reach it. So when running, I have to do 20 minutes on the treadmill (& I try to reach 200 calories burnt) & I do 10 minutes on the cross trainer. All in all I aim to lose between 200-300 calories. I add some walks and sprints in there as well as apparently that helps shed weight. I also try to work out everyday Whitney is at work, but I'm not sure I've managed to do 5 days a week yet. (My memory is very bad ha).

I haven't really lost any weight yet but I think I'm hopefully toning up a bit.. There has been a slight change in my face (thankfully) though I'm still at my highest weight ever.

Now...




Alongside cardio, I'm really trying to tone up my stomach- LOVE HANDLES in particular, and my thighs. I discovered the Tone It Up girls a few weeks ago, and you have to check them out if you haven't before. They're great girls who got themselves in shape and they post videos of how to tone it up ;) you can also pay $150 to a life time membership to their Tone It Up Diet (they do vegetarian & vegan as well). I would love for us to purchase this one day but for now here are a couple of my favourite work outs I've been trying out...

There are so many great videos, and if you have a ball, weights and a kettle ball you can pretty much do them all!

If Katrina can do it.. so can I!


They have coined their own 'Tone It Up Tummy Tuck' work out.. so check that out!

Unfortunately I can't do everything due to my left hand, such as planks etc but i'm trying to figure out the best way to do things!
