This weekend marks the 10 year anniversary since Civil Partnerships became legal in the UK. We both remember when CP became legal, and can't believe that it's already been 10 years! Yet it's also surreal to think it was a mere 10+ years ago that same sex couples did not have this right.
We're very grateful for Civil Partnerships in offering us the opportunity to finally conquer long distance and live our lives together. I still stand by what I mentioned in a blog post back in 2012 about Long Distance Loving: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly: "THANK YOU BRITAIN for having civil partnerships in place. Whilst we may be getting gay marriage in a few years to come, I'm just glad that we have a system that recognises and legitimises same sex relationships."
In order to honour such a momentous milestone, we look back over the last 4 years of our lives together in the UK as 'wife and wife' in the below video.
Today you may also come across us on the BBC News (which is just absolutely amazing to be apart of). Hello to anyone new checking us out, feel free to have a read about our engagement in Hawaii or all the details about our Civil Partnership!
